Tell us a bit about your background and your responsibilities at Nest: I have a diploma in plumbing studies. I wanted to progress further in the construction industry and so joining Nest was a great opportunity. I’ve now been with the company for just over a year.
I assist head joiner Nico in the installation of kitchens, ensuring the work area is kept tidy and manageable. It’s my job to give the perfect finish to our kitchens and provide the best service possible to our clients.
What’s the best thing about working at Nest? Seeing our designs come to life is really great and particularly seeing the look on our clients’ faces once the job is complete. The feedback from our clients is one of the most important things to me and I always strive to give the best service possible.
Since I started at Nest I’ve had the chance to work with some of the best tools and gadgets the market has to offer - from jigs to scribing tools and even our festool range. I’m always on the hunt for new tools that improve the way we work.
What’s your favourite kitchen style? I like a contemporary, clean stylish look that’s uncluttered.
And what luxury feature or gadget would appear in your dream kitchen? The downdraft extractor. It doesn’t look like an extractor at first sight; I love how it hides in the work surface.
How do you like to relax? I enjoy going for walks when the weather is on our side and I like to explore new places.
My Mercedes is another great passion; I love spending time making it look pristine and of course, it helps me discover new locations to visit.
